Haere mai to our new Māori Engagement Specialist, Darcy Karaka

We are pleased to introduce Darcy Karaka as our new Māori Engagement Specialist.

With experience as a researcher working with Māori communities, and more recently through his roles in central government, Darcy brings a broad range of skills to Sustainable Seas.

Darcy has extensive knowledge and expertise around working on Kaupapa Māori research and projects, enabling him to provide support and guidance for iwi, hapū, and whānau.

Moving into the final two years of the National Science Challenges, Darcy is committed to supporting the strategic approach to delivering impact of the research syntheses through specific and targeted communications and engagement.
