We’re looking for an all-rounder who will thrive on a varied communications role.
With at least 2 years’ communications experience, you’ll be working with our community of researchers to tell engaging stories about their marine research in a variety of creative formats.
- You’ll be a strong writer and content creator, developing audience-focused content for web, social media and print
- You’ll have experience developing and delivering communications about complex and/or technical material to non-specialist audiences
- You’ll be comfortable managing and evaluating digital channels including our website (SilverStripe), our social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn) and our online newsletter (MailChimp)
- You’ll be willing to dive in as needed with other things like media, organising filming, events and webinars
You'll work closely with the Communications Manager, Communications Advisor - Māori, Engagement Team, and small management team, and also be responsible for developing, delivering and evaluating specific projects.
- Full-time, fixed term to June 2024
