AgriSea - a blue economy success story

We are researching ways that Aotearoa can create a ‘blue economy’, ie comprised of marine activities that generate economic value and contribute positively to ecological, cultural and social well-being.

AgriSea uses seaweed to manufacture macro-algae concentrates and bioactive extractions to add high value nutrition for soil, plant, animal and human health.

AgriSea partners with whānau and hapū across the country. They have ongoing conversations with iwi about seaweed’s environmental value to coastal ecosystems and its economic value as a sustainable industry for Aotearoa.
